Business Brief
Adding Headless Commerce Spices to Texas’ Renowned Kitchen Supply Company
Since 1975, Ace Mart Restaurant Supply is providing small, mom-and-pop restaurant operators with convenient access to in-stock, affordable foodservice equipment, and supplies. It is a family-owned and operated restaurant and kitchen supply company that prides itself on a large inventory of in-stock equipment and supplies and focuses on customer service as its number one priority. In its quest to offer a seamless shopping experience to its mobile users, Ace Mart sought a strategic commerce collaboration that allows them the functionality of an app, but without the overhead involved in designing, developing, and listing mobile apps on the play store.

- organize the work of 3rd party integrations, customizations, and UI development
- Optimizing PWA site performance to render a frictionless shopping experience
- Shipment management for multiple warehouses located in different states
- Developing better checkout flow to support store pickup and home delivery simultaneously
- Remove existing theme dependency and Pagebuilder customizations
Helping Ace Mart carry its customer-first legacy with seamless PWA Integration
- With a full-proof solution discovery in hand, we created logical sprints to accommodate UI enhancements and core functionality building utilizing the full power of Magento PWA Studio. Keeping the legacy of Ace Mart in mind, we crafted an experience-driven strategy that replicates its vision.
Approach
Our team started off with the PWA implementation with all the native-app-like functionalities to support mobile commerce in as seamless a way as possible. The custom extensions to help Ace Mart migrate its existing data, customers, and order details turned out to be a game changer as the work done was swift and smooth. Many run-time development tasks were added to the sprints as its custom checkout flows, CMS integration, shipping & delivery modules, and Webpack configurations needed immediate attention. We also implemented Upsell and cross-sell product displays along with 3rd party integrations to ease the shopping journey. Finally, clear and advanced communication with the client was always at the center of it all.
Result
Expanding commerce with Magento PWA experience
Soon after going live with the PWA studio, Ace Mart Restaurant Supply started noticing the difference. While the new store users increased by 122%, the revenue too grew by 25%. Considering the implementations done to enhance the experience, the bounce rate drastically reduced by 83%. We're looking forward for Ace Mart to reach new heights with the improved functionalities and enhanced customer experience upgrades.

There is truly an air of collaboration between my developers and Krish's team. They were a BREATH OF FRESH AIR in terms of their communication and transparency in terms of Project Management. I really feel we have been highly satisfied overall with the quality of work performed, the time to market for the project which was right on time, and the cost for the services provided.
